Jace was born into this world eleven weeks premature. His loving mother chose to place him for adoption. When Jace's birth mom first led us into the NICU to meet her newborn boy we were overwhelmed with emotion. As we gazed into Jace's isolette, we saw with our eyes his little body weighing only 2 lbs. 12 oz. but felt with our hearts his big spirit. From that moment on we have felt the blessing of raising this determined little boy. Jace's neonatologist said he was a champion of respiratory breathing room air at day two. Jace continued to overcome each medical challenge he faced and was discharged from the NICU four weeks before his due date. Jace means "healer" and he lives up to his name. He is a very determined little boy and we are so grateful he could join our family.
